Fostering requirements

Fostering requirements - to provide the best care for foster children, foster carers should come from diverse backgrounds with unique life experiences, skills, and qualities. However, there are several essential requirements we need you to meet:

• Be at least 25 years old (you can apply to foster care from 18 years old by law)

• Have a spare bedroom big enough for a foster child to live in

• Be a full-time UK resident of have leave to remain

• Be able to devote time and attention to care for a child or young person, often on a full time basis.
